Luigi Carfora | Italy–Algeria: National Anthems Open an Evening of Dialogue, Respect and Institutional Cooperation
On Saturday, December 27, 2025, our evening dedicated to strong institutional relations, dialogue between peoples and concrete cooperation for sustainable development opened in the most authentic and meaningful way possible: with the listening of the national anthems.
This was not a ceremonial formality, but a foundational act.
Because symbols are not decorative elements: they are language, memory, and responsibility.
🇮🇹 Italian National Anthem
The evening began with the Italian National Anthem, Il Canto degli Italiani, in the version performed by Maestro Riccardo Muti, sourced from the official website of the Italian Senate.
An anthem born during the Risorgimento that expresses unity, freedom and civic responsibility—values that form the backbone of the Italian Republic and the ethical foundation of any genuine path of cooperation.
🇩🇿 Algerian National Anthem
This was followed by the Algerian National Anthem, Qassaman, the voice of a people shaped by the struggle for independence, dignity and self-determination.
An anthem that speaks of sacrifice and future, and that recalls sovereignty not as an abstract concept, but as a collective responsibility.
Respect for National Emblems as a Conscious Act
As clearly shown in the video, all those present stood up.
Not out of empty protocol, but out of conscious respect.
Standing during a national anthem means acknowledging what it represents: the emblem of a Nation, expressed through the anthem and the flag, inseparable symbols of identity, history, collective memory and responsibility toward the future.
The anthem is the voice of the emblem, while the flag is its visible sign. Together, they call a people to its historical responsibility.
In that moment of composed silence and respectful listening, it was not merely two States that were being honored, but two human communities choosing to meet each other on the ground of mutual respect.
A simple gesture, yet rich in meaning: recognizing the other in their full dignity, even before words, agreements or interests.
The Address by President Luigi Carfora
Only after this symbolic and foundational act did Luigi Carfora, President of the Consorzio Suggestioni Campane Promotion and of Confimi Industria Campania, take the floor to deliver his welcome address and year-end speech.
An intervention that gave continuity to a clear message: from symbols arise relationships; from relationships grows trust; and from trust takes shape concrete action, real cooperation, and shared development.
Because without respect for symbols, there can be no authentic dialogue.
And without authentic dialogue, there can be no real economy and no sustainable development.
